“Letterman” – Southern White Rhino – Ceratotherium Simum
Southern
white rhinos are native to the southern part of Africa. They are the
most common of all species of rhinos, outnumbering the other 4 species
combined. Their name comes from a mispronunciation of the Afrikaans word
“wyd,” which means “wide.” Unlike their cousins, White rhinos are
grazers and have large, square lips, giving them their original name.
Like
many rhinos, Letterman is very tactile. He loves being brushed and
scratched and will even lie down to get his belly scratched. He has
perfected his puppy dog eyes when begging for attention or treats and
will use them to great effect.
While the poster and hangers are packed separately in one box, final assembly is required by the end recipient. Don’t worry; it’s a snap to put them together – no expertise is required.
