Description
The southern cassowary is the third tallest and second heaviest bird.
As adults, both genders have black feathers and a brightly colored neck
and head. Their inner claw is dagger-sharp and makes their kick
incredibly dangerous. Males are smaller than females and are in charge
of raising the small, brown chicks.
Bruce is a young
male who’s just starting to grow into his colors. Most males are less
aggressive than females, but Bruce still has plenty of spice in him. He
likes to be greeted and told that he’s a pretty boy (which he is) and is
not very fond of children, preferring to glare disapprovingly at them
whenever he sees them.
